Round-headed pins, books and shawl
Today, I spent more than an hour in the library flipping through magazines and trying to keep myself sane because this 5-month break I'm having is driving me nuts. I miss the pressure, competitions and almost everything of campus life. Just a month over to endure.. So, before I drove to the local library, I already planned to borrow some books, I just didn't know what kind of book yet since the choices at the library are kind of limited. At first, I thought Jodi Picoult's books sounded good but then I was not in the mood to read thick books because I already have three super thick books to finish reading at home. I'm in search of something light and enjoyable and I found For One More Day and Roche Versus Adams. Since I had nothing better to do in the afternoon, I read For One More Day in one sitting. Somehow the book feels familiar. The story all reminded me of a scene I've seen before. Have I read this book previously or was it a movie that almost resembled the Mitch Albom's story? I suspect it was a movie I'd seen. Roche Versus Adams is actually a case about this one multinational company that deals with drugs and Adams is the one trying to unearth their syndicate. I haven't started on that one yet but the book looks promising.
For a long time (ever since my days in Kuantan), I'd been wanting to find the round-headed pins like you can see in the picture. I guess I didn't search hard enough because only when in Seremban, did I take the guts to ask the woman at the kiosk whether she sells such pins. Thanks God she did! I was happy, I thought they don't sell this kind of pins anymore. I kept losing pins that I use to hold my shawl. And I don't have a suitable place to keep them. This is good enough. :)
p.s.: I'm so annoyed by my brother. How hard can wiping the table be? Totally ignorant and lazy and annoying and inconsiderate. It can be done in less than a minute. He needs a lesson!
